WHITE BREAD

After the whole wheat, i wanted to try out a plain white bread just to see how it comes out at home. I am really happy with the result. The bread was beautiful (if u call food beautiful!) and yummy.

I think ii will try out the mixture of plain flour and whole wheat next ti
me. Don't want to make this white bread often as i am sold out on the healthy eating concept ;) and want to follow a good diet as much as possible.

Warm water -- 1/2 cup(40-42 degree)
plain flour -- 2 cups
milk powder -- 2 tablespoons
Active dry yeast -- 1 tsp
Salt -- 1/4 teaspoon
Oil/butter -- 3 tbsp.
Honey -- 1tsp.

Mix honey water and yeast in a bowl and set it aside to foam.
In a large bowl mix the flour, milk powder and oil. Fold the formed yeast mixture into the flours, add salt and mix thoroughly.

Knead this dough for 10 minutes. cover it with a wet cloth and set it aside in a warm place for an hour or until the volume is doubled.

Once it is doubled, punch it down and knead it again lightly. Form it into loaf shape and place it in a oiled bread pan.

Now again allow it to rise for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180 degree and bake the bread for 30 minutes.

Allow it to rest for 10 minutes before using.
